La visita al Archivo fue muy interesante; ésta es una institución de titularidad estatal y gestión autonómica. Por ello, forma parte tanto del Sistema de Archivos del Estado como del Sistema Andaluz de Archivos. Orgánicamente depende de la Consejería de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico, Dirección General de Patrimonio Histórico y Documental.
Nos explicaron que allí se custodian documentos producidos por la Administración pública en el ámbito de la provincia y pudimos ver el sistema de almacenamiento del archivo. Nos mostraron documentos en pergamino del siglo XIII y nos llamaron la atención los mapas de Córdoba, donde el alumnado pudo ver cómo nuestra ciudad ha crecido a lo largo de los años.
La visita guiada es un servicio muy interesante para conocer, in situ, esta institución y el trabajo que realiza.
Después de visitar el Archivo visitamos la Mezquita, monumento Patrimonio de la Humanidad, y un recorrido excepcional a través del arte y la arquitectura, que encantó a la mayoría del alumnado, ya que algunos/as no la habían visto hasta este día.
El alumnado hizo un reportaje fotográfico para elaborar después una página web sobre el arte andalusí en Córdoba.
