Los debates transcurrieron con entusiasmo, respeto y argumentación, demostrando que los jóvenes no son idiotas, en el sentido que usaban en la Grecia clásica el término, donde se consideraba “idiotes” a aquellas personas que se desentendían de los asuntos de la comunidad y de la política.
La actividad fue organizada por la Asociación de Debate Averroes, con la participación de sus miembros, que colaboraron como presentadores, moderadores y jurado. Cada vez son más conocidos entre alumnado y profesorado nombres como Belén Sánchez, Ángel Domínguez, Miguel Raya, José Rubio, Ángel Ortiz, Adrián Casado, Heidi Mirella, Elena Moya, Ariadna Mármol, Javier Luque, Cristina Ortiz, Alejandro Lara, Irene Aguado, Sandra Zhang o Javier Tirado, por encontrarse en primera línea de la organización de los debates y por ayudar a los nuevos alumnos que comienzan a debatir y a interesarse por ADA.
También, fue fundamental la labor del profesorado que colaboró como jurado, sin el que no hubiera sido posible el debate: Mª Carmen Cabezas, Pilar Serrano, Juan Carlos Rubio, Miguel Ángel Ortega, Mª José García, Martín López, Paloma Puerto (IES Guadalquivir), Eva Corpas, Enrique Casado, José Ángel López, Gonzalo Herreros y Roberto Guijarro.
