El martes 15 de diciembre tuvimos la suerte de contar en nuestro IES con la presencia de Julio Anguita, primer alcalde democrático de Córdoba tras la dictadura franquista. Su intervención se enmarcaba dentro de las actividades programadas para conmemorar el XXXI aniversario de la Constitución española de 1978 propuestas por el Departamento de Geografía e Historia. Igualmente este acto respondía a una actividad complementaria presentada por el Proyecto Integrado de Memoria Histórica que imparte nuestro compañero Paco Díez Belinchón. La charla de Julio Anguita se centró en las dificultades que encontró la corporación municipal cordobesa tras el retorno democrático. Frente a estas contrariedades, motivadas por la falta de experiencia en la gestión municipal de los nuevos concejales democráticos, nuestro antiguo regidor municipal nos relató el clima de cooperación que surgió entre todos los grupos políticos presentes en el ayuntamiento de Córdoba en ese mandato (1979-1982).
