Marinete da Silva es la madre de Marielle Franco, activista por los derechos humanos brasileña y concejala del Ayuntamiento de Río de Janeiro que fue asesinada el pasado 14 de marzo por su compromiso con colectividades marginalizadas en Río. Renata Neder es la investigadora en Brasil de Amnistía Internacional, organización mundial de trabaja por los derechos humanos.
Ambas estuvieron en Córdoba para dar a conocer de cerca la labor por los derechos humanos de Marielle y, a raíz de su asesinato, las movilizaciones y los esfuerzos que se están realizando para esclarecer las circunstancias que rodean a su asesinato, donde existen indicios de que la policía estatal está implicada.
