El viernes 31 de enero tuvo lugar la celebración de la segunda edición de la simultánea de ajedrez con motivo de los actos celebrados en nuestro IES por el día de la Paz. La jornada fue todo un éxito de participación, compromiso, diversión y respeto. El formato esta vez tuvo novedades significativas respecto al curso pasado, siendo tres profesores los que actuaban de Chessmasters (Nemesio Caballero, Miguel Ángel Ortega y Antonio Tubío) y con 16 alumnos enfrente intentando complicarles cada partida, y vaya si lucharon y compitieron. A este respecto, felicitar a los seis alumnos que doblegaron en sus enfrentamientos a los profesores mencionados (Ángel López, Alejandro Roso, Juan Pozo, Samuel Ortiz, Rafael Cordero y Mario Gómez), y mención también al resto porque ninguna partida fue sencilla. Se nota con el paso del tiempo que el nivel del alumnado ha subido, y es que este curso tenemos un grupo de chicos que vienen de forma constante cada recreo al SUM a disfrutar de este bello juego-deporte que tanto nos apasiona. Seguimos echando de menos la presencia de alumnas, ojalá en un futuro se incremente el número de chicas en el programa AuladJaque.
