Con el objetivo de que los jóvenes y adolescentes reflexionen sobre su mundo y su realidad, se ha propuesto el tema ¿Debería rebajarse la edad del derecho al voto en España a los 16 años?, ya que engloba reflexiones de tipo social, jurídico, psicológico, etc. Siguiendo el formato de debate académico, y bajo el esquema competitivo, el torneo pretende ahondar en las destrezas que más se nos exigen hoy a las comunidades educativas, como el pensamiento crítico, la expresión oral o la argumentación de ideas. Se trata de una actividad que vendría a cerrar también el ímpetu del 50º fundacional del centro. Colabora en su organización la asociación Aula de Debate de Córdoba, que desde hace ya una década organiza actividades de este perfil en el ámbito universitario.
